BE SECURE

A while back I had an encounter on a ‘job’ and was feeling all nervous and intimidated about returning to the ‘job’. I wanted to find something to read in my off time, something that if the encounter-er approached I would look all saintly and strong spiritually and be able to ward her off with my facade.  I searched out books to down load, cause I was called in the next day, and found, So Long Insecurity.  I like Beth Moore.  The title though, would not make me look strong, but as an Ebook, it would not show. Actually the whole plan of ‘looking so special and wonderful and secure would be out the window. At least I would have something to concentrate on other than those that made me feel so inferior.   The topic sure seemed to fit, so I down loaded. it. And loved it!!! One of those life changing things, Beth does so often, just for me.

I ended up sending photo shots of pages to a dear friend and she loved what I sent and went out and bought us both the hardback and workbooks!! Our study began, my second read of the book and first of workbook— Holy Moly

God is sooo good. Working all things together for my good.

Insecurity is all about faith and trust. The lack of it. In…… God. Really!!

Beth lacked it, Beth the chick who wrote books and spoke to thousands about faith and trust and doing all things with God. I lacked it, I who know God has given me all I have, saved my son from death, reintroduced me to my bio family, is mine for eternity. You probably lack it some too.  Especially if you are a woman.

WE dont have to be insecure. There is nothing to be insecure about. Our weight, our wrinkles, our idiocies, our failures, our sins, we all got em.  Some cover em better than others, because usually they are even more insecure than the rest.

We have reason to be secure, everyone of us:

We have this treasure in earthen vessels (our imperfect bodies) that the excellence of the power may be of God and NOT of us.

We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed

We are perplexed, but not in despair

Persecuted, but not forsaken

Struck down, but not destroyed.

Always, carrying about, in the body, the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested IN OUR BODY.   2 Corinthians 4:7-10

We have a treasure in us. We are a treasure. Be secure in that.
