What are You Standing On?

Well, I wouldn’t back away from what’s right just because it’s hard. My father used to say: plant your feet and stand firm. The only question is where to put your feet.   This was a line spoken by President Vampire Killer Wife Character Mary Lincoln.  I like it.

I believe this. I try to live this, make decisions based on it.   God has been saying this to me over and over and over and…. Ever read Esther? Esther 4:16 I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Our media and government is for and against, mostly against  Edward Snowden THE whistleblower.Ed ward revealed what he sees as a wrong against the citizens of the United States.  The government and much of the media that feeds us says he has jeopardized all of our ‘safety’, because now the ‘enemy’ can know how we watch them and protect ourselves from them.  I am not sure that is true. I think the government is like the bully, or the middle child, they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar and then have to point the finger at everyone else and their wrong, to take the attention off of themselves.  Edward took action, he stepped up, he sacrificed his comfort for what he believes is important.  He said “you can’t wait around for someone else to act. I had been looking for leaders, but I realized that leadership is about being the first to act.”

Abusers intimidate their victims with threats to cause harm to them, or their family members, then and they will play on the sympathy they will tell the victim of the harm to the abuser the victim will be responsible for, if they tell. Not the same thing? I think it is.

Why did Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michele Knight stay in captivity, for 10 years?  What brought Amanda to the point of finally sticking her hand out of the door? She still feared. I suppose, she finally came to the point of being more afraid of never being free.

People doing wrong, manipulating and scheming,to get what they want, will not take the blame for their wrong. They do wrong and lie to EVERYONE to do what they want to do. I think they believe their own lies.

Intimidation. Coercion. Bullying. It exists because somewhere somehow ‘we’ have stepped down. We don’t stand up. We give in to be socially, politically correct. Why? Because we fear. We fear rejection, losing our jobs, losing our status. We fear physical harm. We fear retaliation. We fear we may be wrong, standing for the ‘wrong’ thing. We fear we will be alone.

We hear of bullying in the schools, which is intimidation, which is coercion. It is NOT just in school it happens EVERYWHERE. The government. The school. The home. The workplace. The church. In all relationships, parent vs. child, husband vs. wife, employee vs. employer, doctor vs. patient, student vs. teacher,  pastor/elder vs. parishioner, man vs. animal, buyer vs. seller, gluten free vs gluten full, government vs. We the People. Liberal vs Conservative. …. All of this VS goes visa versa.

Because we want to not make waves. Because we don’t want to be accused of being tattle tales. Because we want the other guy to do it. Because we don’t want to lose a friend. Because we don’t want to expose and hurt others wrongs. Because ‘they‘ may not believe us and believe the ‘lie‘ instead. We compromise.

com·pro·mise [noun1.a   settlement of differences by mutual concessions; an agreement reached by adjustment of conflicting or opposing claims, principles, etc., by reciprocal modification of demands.

2the result of such a settlement.

3.something intermediate between different things: The split-level is a compromise between a ranch house and a multistoried house.

4.an endangering, especially of reputation; exposure to danger, suspicion, etc.: a compromise of one’s integrity.

verb (used with object)

5.o settle by a compromise.

6.to expose or make vulnerable to danger, suspicion, scandal, etc.; jeopardize: a military oversight that compromised the nation’s defenses.

Ironically Snowden compromised #6  by #6 compromising the government by not compromising his values. He also compromised #6 himself, by not compromising his values.

The difference between a ‘good’ compromise and a bad compromise is the difference between ‘1’  and ‘5’.    Good compromise: Keith and I with cats; He does not like them at all, especially in the house.  I love them and want them to sleep with me.  Compromise: They live outside, get to come into garage for overnights if weather is horrible, and visit me in house if Keith not home. I have to deal with Keith throwing them out if he comes home early ;).   Bad compromise:  doing ANYTHING because you FEAR losing ANYTHING.  Not DOING the right..

We concede when we let the doctor intimidate us with his ‘knowledge’ and order test after test and pill after pill for an illness caused by wheat.  We compromise. We cover the the evil.  when we don’t expose the liar. We compromise.  We give in by not doing our work, our calling, our best because those ‘above’ are conspiring wrong.  We back down when we ignore the wrongs, the broken law, the immorality.  We surrender to fear, when we let evil continue. We compromise

On ’41’ George HW Bush said the true wrong of Nixon was not the listening in of the Democratic campaign, everyone finds out things about others in politics.  It was the cover up, the lie’s created in order to not be caught.

The insider trading Martha Stewart was ‘caught’ doing, was actually her just knowing of a deal before it happened, through an acquaintance, and acting on it. It was the attempt to cover up the lie of why she did what she did  that was the problem. She conspired, or compromised to cover herself.

A doctor not knowing everything about gluten intolerance is not a problem. A doctor, because he is the one with with the ‘education’  ignoring the facts, the elimination of symptoms with wheat removal, the patient’s input, knowledge,is the problem.  A doctor compromises his oath of ‘first do no harm’ when he gives into the pride of the degree and the kickbacks of the pharmacuticals.

The government intelligence having ‘spy’ techniques is not the problem.  It is them using the techniques on citizens of America, to find out what ever they want is the problem. The government using it’s power to intimidate to cause fear of the free people, to cover their sins, to keep their control, is the problem. The government compromises itself in order to keep on top of the people, everyday.

The boss, the CEO being aggressive, striving for the best, competitive, is not a problem, it brings success. The executive being driven in order to be in power, in control  of his employees is a problem.  A head bullying the competent, experienced, because they refuse to be intimidated is a problem.

In Esther, Esther’s uncle Mordecai overheard a conspiracy to kill the king. He reveals this to Esther, who in turn tells the king.  Mordecai gets no recognition for this,(till much later) he asks for none, he just does what is right. Hamen,is  a man given too much power and wants for more. Hamen is a bully he wants to intimidate, all like Mordecai, Jews, because Mordecai will not compromise and bow to him.(I think he is a wee little man, a kiss ass a brown noser, willing do do whatever for the one with power, even lie, JUST to have some power himself) Hamen conspires to kill them all, and lies to the king to get his way. Plays on the fear of the king, that the king will be destroyed by these evil people. Mordicai does not run, he does not hide, he does not compromise. Mordecai wails for his people, he calls to Esther persuades her to stand strong for the truth,Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?Esther does not compromise she does not fearI will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Hamen(the corrupt government, the company tyrant, the appointed leader) is so sure of his position, that he did nothing to attain, in disdain for someone of better character of himself. So blinded by his desire to be a leader, in power. Too sure.

When the king hears of the conspiracy to kill the jews, the people of his queen. When he realized he himself was used to bring about the demise of these people that he was manipulated, he is furious. Hamen was hung on the gallows he had intended for Mordecia.

None of this would have come to pass,  a king would have been assassinated.  A population of people, Jews, annihilate because of prejudice of a single man, a bully, if ONE man had been intimidated, and compromised and said nothing.

How many ONE’S have compromised, to the demise of hundreds? Thousands? Nations?

How many have put their trust in man, others and themselves and been obedient to the flesh.

What if just one, maybe YOU put your trust only in God and were obedient only to Him. “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work” (John 4:34).

2 Samuel 22:31As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

Jeremiah 17:“Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength,Whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,And shall not see when good comes,But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,In a salt land which is not inhabited.7“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,Which spreads out its roots by the river,And will not fear[b] when heat comes; But its leaf will be green,And will not be anxious in the year of drought,Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Same Ol Story New Cover

I have been working on changing publishers for my cookbook Throw the Wheat in the Sea, for a few months.  I went through the many many steps to revise with my previous printer/publisher in order to get it into ‘brick and mortar ‘ distribution (Barnes and Nobles) . Made the few corrections I had and  found that the printer had changed the options on book covers, so had to change my book cover, then I ‘ordered’ my proof, so I could then turn around and approve the printing.  I did all of this because Lulu had said I must revise, to  ‘order’ the brick and mortar option. In the end, of it all I found Lulu had changed it’s programming and I would actually have to start over completely, which I almost had in revising. Only difference was I was not assigned a new ISBN.  I then decided to go back to my original thought and change publishers, bite the bullet and download and use Firefox browser, I did, and it has been soooooooo simple!

This is lots and lots of techno stuff to say I have RE published my cookbook!! It is now being published through Createspace– You can order it here    CreateSpace eStore:  and by clicking on the picture of the cook book on the right side of the front page of this blog.  Soon it will be available through Amazon AND you can order it through Barnes and Nobles also.  It would be oh so grand if you ask Barnes and Nobles to have a couple on their shelves!! AND your library can have one placed on their shelves too, if someone asks.

I did change up the cover some, not a lot though, because of the cover options through Create Space. The price of the book is $18, seems expensive but for over 200 recipes I think it is a good deal.

Go buy lots and lots today– Tell your friends, your gastrointerologist, your GF groups, everyone that Throw the Wheat in the Sea is available through Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, Creates pace and could be on the shelves if your just ask!!

As Elvis would say, Thank you very much.

Weeping with Pride

We here in our drought parched land have received rain two days in a row. Blessed rain. God has opened up the clouds for us. I wonder why our drought is here. What should we learn ,how should we repent? I also wonder on the reasons of God bringing the rains to us.

Weeping with Pride.

Thank you God, for the rains, in spite of our not deserving. Thank you God for your Son, allowing us Living Water

1 Corinthians 13 -Love love love…..

1 Corinthians 12 :27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. …….. 31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.

The greater gifts- faith, hope LOVE.  To be had, to be achieved. To be used. To be only through God

13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.  First ,Paul IS NOT saying he does speak in language of angels, nor understand all mysteries or have all knowledge or is able to move mountains with his faith. He has sacrificed his needs for his ministry, but that is not the point.  What Paul is saying is if he was the clone of Jesus Christ all he ‘did’ would be worthless if he did not have ‘love’. Love is God. God is love. Then to the ‘works’ of ministry it is all for naught, if it does not come from the Spirit of Love- Christ.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.    1John 4:16  God is love, and he who abides in love abides inGod, and God in him.  1John 4:8He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.  Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.   1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.   Man on his own is incapable of having, doing, living, knowing ‘Love’ unless he is possessed with ‘Love’ – God,Jesus Christ-Holy Spirit. We can not be without envy. We are prideful. We are rude. We seek to serve ourselves before others, we are selfish. We react with anger, defensively. We contemplate murder and thievery. We are drawn to the muck of the world, Vegas Baby!.  Without Love/God we are incapable of withstanding the death and hurt and illness and attacks from this world. There is no hope, with out God/Love. With Love/God we do endure, beyond human ability.

Love never fails.  God NEVER fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part.  Everything MAN does even if the man be a prophet of God, it will eventually fail, or end, because it is at least ‘tainted’ by man.  1But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.  Christ has come and someday, all the ‘man’ mistakes will be gone

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.  We have no idea how little we know, how far we have to go.As a believer we learn more, get better vision of what we are to be everyday.  When we are with God, we will have all understanding.  We don’t need to MAKE it happen now, because we can not.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.  Abide: stay, continue, dwell, be present, remain, stand- with faith, and hope love– A choice to have.

We read chapter 13 at weddings, this is the LOVE chapter.  The perfect recipe on loving each other. People use this Love ‘is’ patient, forgiving, not rude, not proud and say rebuking and confronting, disagreeing with others, especially fellows in church is being unloving. Many use these verses to say the only way to be ‘loving is to accept anything and everything others do, turn the other cheek, always. Many say love God, love others, meaning be ‘accepting’ of everything from everyone to show your love for God.   I think we miss the point Paul was trying to make about ‘love’.
Remember how Paul started this letter, the reprimand, the revealing of the sins, the misconduct, the pious attitude these ‘believers’ at Corinth have.  Paul spoke earlier in this same letter of their removing a man or members from their fellowship for not abiding, for being WRONG with God. Where is the ‘love’ in that? Or what WE define love to be?
I say we can not love others without the LOVE/ God in us. We cannot love with out God.
What we define as ‘love’ is NOT the love of God. God’s love is truth. God’s love hates evil. Psalm 97:10 you who love the Lord, hate evil!God’s love condemns evil eternally away from Him. God’s love has no fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind  God’s love does not compromise. God’s love is unconditional. God is love.  The love Paul is speaking that we must have is God. We do rebuke, confront, exhort, chastise, minister, give, judge, disagree, oppose evil/wrong all in the name of God/Love. 2 Timothy 2:24 And ca servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 fin humility correcting those who are in opposition, gif God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. To tell someone they are wrong, they are going the wrong way is love. God tells us that all through His word God loved David and let him suffer the consequence of his disobedience to God, David’s child died because of his disobedience. God loved Moses and Moses did not enter the promised land a consequence of letting his anger trump God’s commands.
God’s love is NOT in every person  John 5:39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.41 “I do not receive honor from men. 42 But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.  Paul warns to disassociate with false teachers with those in fellowship who are actually not believers but have come to destroy. These are people within the ‘church’ . It is NOT loving, it is NOT of God to associate with evil.  2 Thessalonians 3:14 14 And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed.
